Just under 17 hours. Left Auckland and arrived in New York at the same time! I was in economy, and I would never do it again. Luckily, I had an empty seat next to me, but it was still tough. Just because the planes can do it doesn’t mean economy passengers can.

Left Bangkok early to Sing then 24 hours later NY then made the jump to Detroit and was a bit lost at the meeting.
Day before might have been better.

I was airborne for 18hrs 08.

Was very comfortable but a bit disorientating as I was up all day in NYC and departure was 2355.

Food and service was excellent.

Was interesting that we flew east across the Atlantic and across Russia and down over India.

I flew one and a half times round the world on that trip.

LCY-SNN-JFK EWR-SIN train to KL KUL-HKG-NRT on CX. 772/333.
NRT-BOS on one of the first 788 JL.
BOS-LHR AA 752

Memorable trip.
